2012
The following quotes come from DeSalvio's website:[1]
Education: "We must improve our education system for the future of our children and look at news ways to recruit teachers to teach in Nevada schools. We also need to maintain the funding our schools need to advance our dismal nationwide educational standings."
Job creation: "We need elected officials to focus on creating educational pathways that will lead to stability through providing careers to our workforce rather than temporary jobs."
Housing: "We need to work with our banks to ensure Nevada families are able to stay in their homes during these difficult times." Veterans' affairs: "We need to protect the rights of our Nevada Veterans, ensuring that they receive the benefits and care they deserve for their commitment to our country."
Roads/streets: "We need to improve our transportation and cut down on traffic by streamlining construction on our roads, synchronizing our traffic lights, increasing the amount of bus cut outs on major cross sections of our district, and addressing the growing issue of saw-tooth streets in our growing neighborhoods."
