Louis James Menendez was a judge on the Alaska First District Superior Court. He was appointed by Governor Sean Parnell in May 2011.[1][2] He was sworn in as a Juneau Superior Court Judge on September 30, 2011 and served until his retirement from the court effective June 29, 2018.[3]

Menendez was retained to the First District Superior Court with 74 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [4]

Menendez received his J.D. from Hastings College of Law at the University of California and a Master of Law from New York University.[1][5]
