Louis Viverito was a Democratic member of the Illinois State Senate. He represented District 11 from 1995 as a Majority Whip. Viverto was re-elected in November of 2006, and retired on January 15, 2011.[1]

Viverto graduated with a high school diploma and also served in the US Army from 1952 to 1954.

Viverto also serves a Township Supervisor for Stickney Township.

On November 4, 2008, Democrat Louis Viverito won re-election to the Illinois State Senate District 11 receiving 51,353 votes, ahead of Republican Jeffery Malinowski (21,213 votes).[3]
