Louise Alexander
Louise Alexander (Democratic Party) (also known as Lulu) was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 56. She assumed office on November 5, 2014. She left office on November 9, 2022.
Alexander (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Alabama State Senate to represent District 19. She lost in the Democratic primary on May 24, 2022.
Biography
Alexander received a B.A. in business administration and a B.A. in computer science from Southern College. She previously served on the city council of Bessemer, Alabama. Her professional experience includes serving in the U.S. Army, working for the U.S. Postal Service, and founding Alexander Unity Flowers & Gift. She has been a member of the Alabama Democratic Party and served as a delegate for Barack Obama at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.[1]

Elections for the Alabama House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014; a runoff election took place where necessary on July 15, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Louise Alexander defeated incumbent Lawrence McAdory in the Democratic primary. Darius Foster was unopposed in the Republican primary. Alexander then defeated Foster and Rickey Levins (I) in the general election.[2][3][4][5][6]
