The Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education Amendment, also known as Amendment 5, was on the ballot in Louisiana on November 3, 1992, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. This measure proposed a decrease in the membership of the board of education. It also modified the manner in which the members would be chosen.[1][2]
