Louisiana Board of Ethics Amendment (October 1989)

The Louisiana Board of Ethics Amendment, also known as Amendment 7, was on the ballot in Louisiana on October 7, 1989, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. It proposed that the legislature should continue to select four of the five members of the board of ethics. If the measure failed the governor would appoint all five members.[1][2]
