The Louisiana District and Appeals Court Judges Amendment, also known as Amendment 6, was on the ballot in Louisiana on October 7, 1989, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. It proposed to facilitate the election of black judges by dividing some district and appeals courts into subdistricts.[1][2]
