Louisiana Amendment 7 (General), also known as the Election of Tax Assessor in Orleans Parish Act, was on the November 7, 2006, election ballot in Louisiana as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. It provided for the election of a single tax assessor in Orleans Parish.[1][2]

The question on the ballot:
To provide for a single tax assessor in Orleans Parish to be elected at the same time as the municipal officers of New Orleans.
