Louisiana Fire and Police Civil Service Amendment (1970)

The Louisiana Fire and Police Civil Service Amendment, also known as Amendment 48, was on the ballot in Louisiana on November 3, 1970, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. It proposed that in municipalities having a population between 13,000 and 500,000 people police and fire civil service rules should apply.[1]
