The Louisiana Handicapped Voting Amendment, also known as Amendment 44, was on the ballot in Louisiana on November 5, 1968, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed to permit handicapped persons to vote at a another precinct if the one they are registered at is not accessible.[1]
