The Louisiana Legislative Session and Governor's Veto Amendment, also known as Amendment 9, was on the ballot in Louisiana on October 7, 1989, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed that organizational sessions be held every four years at the beginning of the legislative session. It also clarified the time limits related to the governor's veto power.[1][2]
