The Louisiana Legislative Vacancy Amendment, also known as Amendment 38, was on the ballot in Louisiana on November 3, 1970, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. It proposed modifications related to elections called to fill legislative vacancies for any reason other than the expiration of a term.[1]
