The Louisiana Levee District Tax Amendment, also known as Amendment 12, was on the ballot in Louisiana on February 1, 1972, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. It proposed to reduce the maximum annual tax that could be levied by the Red River, Atchafalaya and Bayou Boeuf levee districts.[1]
