The Louisiana Municipal Property Tax Amendment, also known as Amendment 10, was on the ballot in Louisiana on October 7, 1989, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. It proposed that local governments can levy up to seven mills of additional property tax without voter approval.[1][2]
