Louisiana Orleans Levee District Amendment (1972)

The Louisiana Orleans Levee District Amendment, also known as Amendment 11, was on the ballot in Louisiana on February 1, 1972, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. It proposed to allow a two and one-half mill property tax in Orleans Parish along with a bond sale to pay for Lake Pontchartrain flood protection.[1]
