The Louisiana Payment for Acquired Property Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Louisiana on November 3, 1970, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. It proposed to amend Article IV of the constitution to provide for payments when state or local governments or their agencies acquire property.[1]
