The Louisiana Tax, Budget and Fiscal Procedures Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the ballot in Louisiana on April 29, 1989, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was defeated. This measure proposed sweeping changes to the constitutional provisions regarding taxation and budget and fiscal policy.[1][2]
