The Louisiana Vietnam Bonus Amendment, also known as Amendment 8, was on the ballot in Louisiana on February 1, 1972, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. It proposed to authorize the issuance of $14 million in bonds to pay and administer bonuses to Vietnam veterans.[1]
