Louisiana: Last week, the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal took their show on the road, holding hearings at Louisiana State University. The court began as a riding circuit, as a way to allow residents living outside of Baton Rouge to still have access to the judicial process. Now the court travels for a similar reason, though it is also seen as community outreach. The spokesperson for the Louisiana Supreme Court said, "It is a great way to reach out to your community and to your area. The Louisiana Supreme Court has done this numerous times over the past decade. It is about education."[1]
