Louisiana & Arkansas: Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell has sued Union County, Arkansas after the circuit clerk charged the state $2.50 per page for photocopies. Preparing more than 9,300 pages for a single court case, the State of Louisiana now owes Union County more than $23,000.

The price for photocopies in the courts was actually determined by the Arkansas Supreme Court in 2011, which declared that rates for copies made for appeals cases should be $2.50 each. All other cases would be charged at $.25.

The attorney for Union County does not believe that the state Supreme Court ruling applies to this situation.[1]
