Lourdes Martinez
Lourdes A. Martínez was a federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico. She was appointed to this position on April 1, 2003, and she retired from the court on May 2, 2017.[1]
Education
Judge Martinez earned her undergraduate degree from New Mexico State University and her law degree from the University of New Mexico.[2]
Career
Martinez began her career as a law clerk to the New Mexico Supreme Court. She then worked as an Assistant Attorney General and a private practice lawyer before becoming a judge. She judged for the New Mexico Third Judicial District Court for approximately four years before becoming a magistrate judge in 2003.[2][3]
