Lowell Ray Barron is a former Democratic member of the Alabama State Senate, representing the District 8 from 1982 to 2010. He served as President Pro Tempore of the Alabama State Senate from 1999 to 2006.

Biography

Barron earned his B.S. in Pharmacy from Auburn University.

Barron ran for re-election to the 8th District seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition. He was defeated by Shadrack McGill in the November 2 general election.[1]

On November 7, 2006, Barron won re-election to the 8th District Seat in the Alabama State Senate, defeating opponent Don Stout (R).[2]
