Kathy Rollo is the superintendent of the Lubbock Independent School District. Rollo was appointed superintendent on February 1, 2018. Rollo's previous career experience includes working as a teacher, principal, and assistant principal.[1]
Past superintendents
- Berhl Robertson Jr. was the superintendent of the Lubbock Independent School District from 2013 to 2018.[2] Robertson's previous career experience included working as the district's chief administrative officer.[3][4]
- Karen Garza was the superintendent of the Lubbock Independent School District from 1999 to 2013.[5]
School board
The Lubbock Independent School District school board consists of seven members elected to four-year terms. Five members are elected by district and two members are elected at large.[6]

Members of the Lubbock Independent School District school board are elected to four-year terms. Three or four seats are up for election on a staggered basis in even-numbered years.
Four seats on the board were up for general election on May 4, 2024. The filing deadline for this election was February 16, 2024.
