Primary: He was defeated in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 33.6 percent of the vote. He competed against Robert E. Burgess.

Education
Marioneaux received a B.S. in accounting from Louisiana Tech University in 1995, and a J.D. from Louisiana State University Law School in 1998.[3]
Career
Marioneaux runs the Marioneaux Law Firm and is an assistant district attorney in Caddo Parish. He was previously the senior director of security, risk management and regulatory compliance for L’Auberge du Lac Casino Resort.[3]
