Biography
Education
Judge Suarez graduated from Fordham University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.[1]
Career
Suarez became a New York City Civil Court Judge in 1994 and then a New York County Supreme Court Justice in 1996. His term on the Supreme Court ended in 2009, and he ran for re-election. Since 2006, he has been the Statewide Coordinating Judge for Summary Jury Trials. He has also worked as a private practice lawyer, has taught at local colleges, and has served as counsel to New York Senate and Assembly committees.[1][2]
2009 election
Suarez was elected to the 12th Judicial District in 2009. Five candidates ran for three seats.[3]
