Luis A. Berrones is an associate judge on the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court in Illinois. He was appointed on October 29, 2007.[1][2]

Berrones was reappointed for a four-year term in 2011 and again in 2015.[3][4]

Elections

2012

Berrones ran for election to a newly-created 19th Circuit Court, 2nd Subcircuit, judgeship. He was defeated by Patricia Fix on November 6, 2012, receiving 48.8 percent of the vote. He was unopposed in the Republican primary on March 20, 2012.[5][6]

Education

Berrones received his B.A. in political science from DePaul University in 1980 and his J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law in 1983.[7]
