Two of the seven seats on the Arlington Independent School District school board were up for by-district general election on May 7, 2016. Incumbent John Hibbs defeated challenger Luis Castillo for the Place 4 seat. Incumbent Jamie Sullins ran unopposed and won re-election to the Place 5 seat.[1][2]
