Luis Huang may be a political novice, but Public Service and Community Organizing has always been in his DNA, first starting a non-profit to promote volunteerism via mobile app in 2015, and IPD CERT certified class of 69, first Chinese Mandarin taught CERT Class nationally. Since launching his Mayoral campaign June 3, Luis 4 Irvine has been about building community. 100% people powered on social media free from advertising and 100% zero-waste zero-paper.

Luis is a politically self-described Democratic-Socialist, Bernie is his political hero. Early supporter of Katie Porter and #MedicareForAll. Electrical Engineer and long-time solar advocate and consultant #SolarLuis #CCE. Also a small business owner and aspiring real-estate investor.

No single issue defines Luis. Except for one. Luis cares passionately about building a community and a movement, in and around Irvine.
I pride myself on what I have accomplished the past 10 years of my professional career. I graduated UC San Diego 2009, with Bachelor's of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Economics. I used my educational background to leverage a career in Renewable Energy, specializing in Solar Energy Generation of Power for homeowners and businesses and multiples utility companies across the United States (CA, AZ, NY, MN, FL, to name a few). I have even worked on International Projects in Middle East (Saudi Arabia), China (Shenzhen and Xiamen) and Cambodia.

Green New Deal is an absolutely must and climate change is an ever present and ever alarming threat, caused by burning of fossil fuels for humanity's energy and transportation usage.

Closer to home, here in Irvine as well as the start of all 34 cities in Orange County, Irvine will be the first to successfully launch "Community Choice Energy." Impact will be immediate, City of Irvine will save approx. $10million, next year. Every year!

If I had authority in Irvine, it would have been enacted 2020! I am proud to be part of similar CCE efforts in Northern California, as a civilian, solar industry and CCE advocate, and mostly a super volunteer at Oakland and Hayward CCE city council and city commission hearings and meetings and email writing campaigns.
Bernie Sanders. Most amazing leader this country has ever seen. Always 100% authentic, speaks from the heart, never needs to write a campaign speech. History will remember Bernie for being transformational, and inspiring tens of thousands to seek public office for change, like me!
Compassion, empathy, a kind a loving heard, and willing to help others. That's why I am a Democratic-Socialist, and I believe there should be more Socialists in local government.
When I graduated from UCSD 2009, internship for 3 months as a solar design and sales intern. $10 / hour. Good times in San Diego Carlsbad.
Bernie Sanders - Our Revolution
I have lived a fairly normal, fairly happy childhood, and my parents are the epitome of the great American Dream. I worked hard, and have secured certain comforts afforded to me. I intend to use the privileges granted to me to continue to FIGHT and ORGANIZE and PROTEST. Too many of my friends are suffering, and I will do my best to help them with a helping hand.
Someone who cares about each and every one. Not just the voters. Not just campaign donors.

As leaders for our Irvine Community, Farrah Khan and I share several key similarities. We CARE. We want to help everyone in our communities.

Mayor Shea does not respond to emails. She does not answer phone calls. She has failed to lead Irvine.

Same challenges confronting us now. Renters' Right being infringed by landlords and by Irvine Company Apartments. Significant wealth disparity. Rising housing costs keep forcing families further and further away from good schools and good jobs.

Climate Crisis.
