Luis Reynoso
Luis Reynoso was a member of the Hayward Unified School District school board At-large in California. He assumed office in 2008.
Reynoso (Republican Party) ran for election to the U.S. House to represent California's 14th Congressional District. He lost in the primary on March 5, 2024.
Reynoso was a 2014 Independent candidate for District 20 of the California State Assembly. He ran unsuccessfully for the same seat as a Republican in 2012.

2016
Three of the five seats on the Hayward Unified School District board of trustees were up for at-large general election on November 8, 2016. Incumbents Luis Reynoso, John Taylor, and Annette Walker filed for re-election. They faced challengers Robert Carlson, Todd Davis, Daniel Goldstein, Wynn Grcich, and Joe Ramos.[1] Walker and Reynoso won re-election to the board, and Carlson won the other seat on the ballot.[2]

Funding
Reynoso filed an exemption form detailing he would not spend or receive more than $2,000 for this campaign. Because of this, he did not have to file additional campaign finance reports.[3][4]

Elections for the California State Assembly took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Incumbent Bill Quirk (D) and Jaime Patino (R) defeated Luis Reynoso (I) in the blanket primary. Quirk defeated Patino in the general election.[5][6][7]
