Lupe Contreras (Democratic Party) is a member of the Arizona House of Representatives, representing District 22. He assumed office on January 9, 2023. His current term ends on January 11, 2027.

Contreras (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Arizona House of Representatives to represent District 22. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.

Contreras served as Arizona House of Representatives minority leader from June 22, 2023 to January 2025.[1][2]

Biography

Lupe Contreras was born in Phoenix, Arizona. Contreras graduated from Westview High School in 1993. Contreras' career experience includes working with Pomeroy & Associates and as a wrestling coach.[3]

On April 22, 2020, Contreras announced that he tested positive for COVID-19 after caring for his mother, who had earlier tested positive for the virus.[13] COVID-19, also known as coronavirus disease 2019, is the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
