Campaign themes

2014

Grady's campaign website listed her themes for the 2014 campaign:

My foremost priority is to engage families and communities in the decision-making process affecting schools and our children's education. This is fundamental to building a strong school system. As a Board Member, I will use my voice to be an advocate for parents and communities with the goal of impacting policies that promote stronger schools. I believe that sound partnerships between parents, communities and educators lead to the success of our children.

I intend to promote increased investment in teacher professional development to ensure superior instruction and academic rigor for all children. Our county needs to focus on retaining qualified teachers and ensuring that they have the proper trainings, resources and competitive salaries to be effective.

I will promote the contribution a strong school system has to building strong communities; the schools' role in the public safety, housing and economic development of our County. I will work to increase school program options that attract and retain families to Prince George's County.[6]
