Luther "Luke" Dowe is a family man that represents the hard working Floridians he has come to know and love. Originally from upstate New York, Luther went into the Navy directly after high school. After serving his country, he attained his real estate license in New York. This is a passion for him that continued when he came to Florida. He also managed a group home for developmentally disabled adults.
He helped to breathe life into his hometown of Liberty, NY as a committee member of the Main Street revitalization effort. With his knowledge of real estate and construction he purchased a historic movie theatre that also hosted theatrical performances, political debates, and community events. He also opened the areas only dance club venue creating 30 jobs. In 2013 he moved here permanently and started his family.
Luther's platform is a platform of service. Service to all veterans and their families, service to those who need affordable healthcare options, service to children's advocacy groups foster and adoption agencies, service to the elderly, and service to those who have developmental disabilities and the families and agencies that support them. Luther refuses to let taxpayer money be wasted by needless bureaucracy. By putting money back in the taxpayers pockets, he puts his trust in you to stimulate the local economy and use your money to service others. He puts his trust in you, it is time for you to put your trust in him.
  • Affordable healthcare that covers pre-existing conditions
  • Quality school choices for all of Florida's children
  • Term limits for all elected officials
The first area I am most passionate about is keeping taxes low and affordable for all Floridians. The second area I am most passionate about is helping the most vulnerable populations in Florida, our children and our elderly. I want to ensure all children in Florida have access to essential services, healthcare, food, & education. I also want to make sure our aging community members can afford their much needed medications. Our parents and our grandparents should never have to choose between medicine or food.
I like to hear the argument for both sides of a case and make the decision that seems best for the majority.
Always doing what is in the best interest of the people and not for self interest.
I just want to make sure our state is safe, affordable, & beautiful for future generations.
At 16 I worked as a clerk in a grocery store after school. I worked there for 2 years until I graduated and left for the NAVY.
Peter Pan. We all want to stay young forever.
The rate in which cost of living is increasing and the cost for healthcare.
Yes! We must all work together to have a well functioning government. We must work closely with one another to craft legislation that works for all people of the states. Legislator are from different area with different backgrounds and life experiences that can be used to craft legislation that works for Floridians across the state and not just one region.
I am just focusing on my local district at this time. Having 3 young kids at home and I do not see myself running for a different political office but just a few years ago I never would have thought I'd be running for State Representative.
