Lyle Hillyard
Lyle Hillyard (Republican Party) was a member of the Utah State Senate, representing District 25. He assumed office in 1985. He left office on January 1, 2021.
Hillyard (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Utah State Senate to represent District 25. He lost in the Republican primary on June 30, 2020.
He was the Senate Assistant Majority Whip in 1995.
Hillyard previously served in the Utah House of Representatives from 1980 to 1984.
Biography
Hillyard earned his B.S. from Utah State University in 1965. He went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Utah in 1967.
Hillyard began working as a partner for Hillyard, Anderson, and Olsen in 1967.

Hillyard won re-election in the 2012 election for Utah State Senate District 25. Hillyard was unopposed in the June 26 Republican primary and was unopposed in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[4]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Hillyard won re-election to the 25th District Seat in the Utah State Senate, defeating opponent Joe Dulin.[5]
Hillyard raised $26,286 for his campaign, while Dulin raised $7,079. [6]

The Sutherland Institute Scorecard
The Sutherland Institute, "a conservative public policy think tank" in Utah, releases its Scorecard for Utah State Representatives and Senators once a year. The Score Card gives each legislator a score based on how they voted in the prior legislative term on specific issues which the Sutherland Institute thought were pro-conservative policies.[11]
