Sanchez's campaign website stated the following:

Issues

Modernizing the Harris County Clerk’s Office for a Fair, Fast, and Accessible Court System

A well-run Harris County Clerk’s Office is essential to a fair and functioning justice system. From jury service to court records, every resident deserves efficiency, accuracy and respect at every step. My commitment is clear: modernize operations, increase transparency, and deliver a customer focused Clerk’s Office that serves the public with professionalism and integrity.

Cut Case Backlogs & Improve Court Efficiency

The Harris County Clerk is the administrative backbone of the court system. When filings are delayed, justice is delayed.

I will:

  • Modernize workflows to reduce paperwork bottlenecks
  • Speed up processing of court filings and orders
  • Improve coordination with judges, attorneys, and court staff
  • Bring the office up to best-in-class standards for accuracy and turnaround times

A more efficient Clerk’s Office means faster, fairer justice for victims, families, and defendants.

Improve Customer Service Across All Offices

Thousands of people interact with the Clerk’s Office every week. They deserve professional, courteous service at every location.

I will:

•Strengthen staff training to ensure consistency and professionalism

•Standardize service levels across all offices

•Establish a direct help line to assist residents navigating court processes

•Build a culture focused on fairness, respect, and accuracy

Every resident should receive the same high-quality service every time.

Fiscal Responsibility and Better Use of Taxpayer Dollars

Efficiency isn’t just smart; it saves taxpayer money.

I will:

•Review outdated vendor contracts to ensure cost-effective services

•Streamline internal processes to reduce unnecessary overtime expenses

•Expand secure digital services to lower costs and improve access

•Eliminate wasteful or redundant procedures

A well-run Clerk’s Office protects both the justice system and the taxpayers who fund it.

Protect Public Access to Records & Keep Fees Low

Court records belong to the public, not to bureaucracy.

I will:

•Maintain low fees for record searches and copies

•Expand online access to appropriate non-sensitive documents

•Provide clear, plain-language guides for self-represented citizens

•Ensure transparency across all divisions of the Clerk’s Office

Transparency builds trust and trust builds stronger communities.

My Commitment

Our Harris County Clerk should be a steady hand, not a partisan fighter. I’m running to deliver a professional, transparent, modernized Clerk’s Office that puts the people of Harris County first.
