Lynda Wrenn
Lynda Wrenn is the former District 4 member on the Pittsburgh Board of Directors in Pennsylvania. The seat was up for general election on November 3, 2015. There was a primary election on May 19, 2015. She filed to run in both the Republican and Democratic primaries. Wrenn won nominations in both primaries and advanced to the general election.[1][2] Wrenn did not file for re-elected in 2019.
Biography
Wrenn obtained a bachelor's degree in economics. She went on to earn her master's degree in teaching from Chatham University. She has served as president of the Parent Teacher Organization at Linden Elementary. She has also volunteered for the Parent School Community Council, the Summer Dreamers Academy task force and the gifted education task force.[3]

2015
Four of the nine seats on the Pittsburgh Board of Directors were up for general election on November 3, 2015. There was a primary election on May 19, 2015.
Incumbent Regina B. Holley won the District 2 seat without opposition. Lynda Wrenn and Moira B. Kaleida also won without opposition for the seats in Districts 4 and 6, respectively. Kevin L. Carter (D) defeated Rosemary Moriarty (R) for the District 8 seat.
Wrenn defeated Kirk B. Burkley in the primary election. Samuel J. Hurst and Tracy Link were defeated in the primary election for District 6. Patricia Rogers lost the primary election in District 8. No independent candidates filed to run in the general election.[1][2]

Funding
Wrenn reported $35,194.00 in contributions and $25,700.49 in expenditures to the Allegheny County Elections Division, which left her campaign with $9,493.51 on hand in the election.[4]
Endorsements
Wrenn received official endorsements from the Allegheny County Democratic Committee, the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.[5][6][7]
