Lynn Cherry was the judge of Texas District 301.[1] She did not run for re-election in 2014.[2]

Education

Cherry received her undergraduate degree from the University of Houston in 1971, her master's degree from Texas Wesleyan University in 1974 and her J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 1984.[3]

  • 2007-2014: Judge, Texas District 301
  • 1991-2001: Visiting associate judge/master in chancery, various district courts
  • 1986-2006: Attorney in private practice
  • 1972-1981: Special education teacher, Dallas ISD and Grand Prairie ISD[3]

Elections

2010

Cherry defeated George White in the general election, winning 51.42 percent of the vote.[4]
