Norton received her undergraduate and J.D. degrees from the University of Alabama.[3]
Military service
Norton served for twenty-three years with the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserve. She served on active duty for ten years as a chief of claims, military prosecutor, criminal defense counsel, contract litigator and later as an instructor at the Air Force JAG School. Norton then served an additional thirteen years in the Reserve at the Air Force JAG School, Air Force Space Command, the 366th Fighter Wing at Mountain Home, Air Force Base and at the 19th Air Force.[3][4]
Career
Prior to her appointment in 2011, Norton worked as a deputy prosecutor in Ada County for ten years. She served in both the felony and civil divisions.[3][4]
