Lynn Nakamoto appointed to Oregon Court of Appeals

Salem, Oregon: Gov. Kulongoski appointed attorney Lynn Nakamoto to a vacancy on the Oregon Court of Appeals. She will replace Judge Jack Landau, who is joining the Supreme Court, on January 3, 2011. Gov. Kulongoski praised her as "an outstanding lawyer with broad legal experience and an outstanding reputation in the legal community." She will be the first Asian American from Oregon to serve on any court in the state.
Lynn Nakamoto, an Oregon lawyer since 1988, is currently a managing shareholder of the Portland law firm Markowitz, Herbold, Glade & Mehlhaf P.C. Previously, she worked for Marion-Polk Legal Aid and Bronx Legal Services in New York.[1]
