Lynn Schoen
Lynn Schoen was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 21A of the Minnesota House of Representatives.[1]
Biography
Originally from Hastings, Minnesota, Schoen earned her B.S. in anthropology and sociology in 1984 from Eastern Oregon College.[2][3]
Professionally, Schoen worked in dental administration from 1997 through January 2014. She left her position to pursue full-time volunteer work.[3]
Schoen has been active in her community. She was elected to the Wabasha City Council in November 2012 and began serving in January 2013. She previously served as the secretary and Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary, International Club and as the secretary and a board member of Wabasha Area Community Resource Center. She has also been involved with the Wabasha County Social Services as a member of the advisory committee; the City of Wabasha Heritage Preservation Commission as a member of the technology committee, employee complaints review committee; and a member of Common Board.[3]

Elections
2014
Elections for the Minnesota House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on August 12, 2014, and a general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3, 2014. Lynn Schoen was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Tim Kelly was unopposed in the Republican primary. Kelly defeated Schoen in the general election.[5][6][7]
