Biography

Lynne Freiberger was born in Sacramento, California. She served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1983. Freiberger studied at American River Community College and the University of Maryland. Her career experience includes working as a collectible toy vehicle seller. Freiberger has been affiliated with the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Vietnam Veterans of America, Genesee Serves, AARP Free Tax Service, and PAWS Animal Rescure.[1]

Since Nebraska is the only state using the process and I am currently in Michigan, I believe it is a moot point and I have no opinion.
There are pros and cons to experience in government or politics when serving the people of Michigan. Sometimes the experience could get in the way of doing the job you were sent to Lansing to do. Inexperienced individuals would not have any preconceived impressions and possibly bring new ideas and solutions to the table.

Experienced or Inexperienced in government or politics should not be the driving force when the lives and livelihoods are on the line for the people of Michigan. The driving force should be getting the job done.

Yes. When the lives and livelihoods of the people of Michigan are impacted then it behooves all legislators to work together to alleviate any negative outcomes.
Information disseminated to all interested parties involved, get feedback from citizens living in the contested areas before decisions are finalized. and transparency of the actions taken.
Using local social media, there are so many stories about suspicious activities or individuals not normally found in residential areas, break-ins, property damage, theft, and death. All of them are touching, memorable and all are especially impactful.
I unfortunately do not like jokes.
I believe a check and balances approach by the legislature overseeing the use of emergency powers would be better than a government overreach with granting the use.
As long as the compromise 'give and take' maintains positive results for all Michiganders.
