Campaign website
Woehrle's campaign website stated the following:
My Priorities
In my first term on the Wauwatosa School Board, I’ve been a strong champion for students and teachers, equity and inclusion, environmental sustainability, and data-driven policy. I’ve advocated for critical investments in school staff, new curriculum, and facilities. I’m not afraid to ask hard questions and make tough decisions, especially when it’s best for students. I am proud of our progress and know that we must do more to ensure that every student belongs and succeeds. My priorities include:
Academic excellence for all — I want to expand achievement opportunities for all students, meet students where they are, and give them the support to excel at their passions.
Trades/technical education — We have amazing tech ed programs, and I want to continue to expand STEM and Trades curricula across the district.
Social-emotional supports: Students nationwide continue to struggle with mental/behavioral health, and we must address barriers to learning and regular school attendance. That includes creating positive and inclusive schools across cultures, income levels, neurodiversity, and identities.
Fiscal sustainability — I believe in investing where it matters — and saving money where we can. I’m committed to continuing our district’s focus on financial transparency and looking for operational efficiencies to reduce the burden on taxpayers. That includes exploring creative new ways to generate revenue, such as solar energy.
Teacher retention: To attract and retain high-quality teachers, we must continue to invest in fair compensation and provide teachers with the resources they need to do their best work.
