Lyons Gray
Lyons Gray was a member of the North Carolina Utilities Commission. Gray assumed office on January 26, 2016. Gray left office on April 29, 2022.
Biography
Gray served in the General Assembly of North Carolina from 1989-2002. He then served as the chief financial officer of the Environmental Protection Agency from 2005-2009. Gray has also worked in the private sector as the president and owner of Salem Systems, Inc. and Triangle Campers, Inc. He was also the vice-president of the Intercontinental Consultants Corporation.[1]
Political career
North Carolina Utilities Commission (2016-2022)
Gray was appointed to the North Carolina Utilities Commission on January 26, 2016 by Gov. Pat McCrory. Gray replaced Susan Rabon, whose term expired in 2015.[1] He left the North Carolina Utilities Commission in April 2022.
North Carolina State Assembly (1989-2002)
Gray served in the General Assembly of North Carolina from 1989-2002. During his tenure, he served as the chairman of the House Finance Committee from 1995 to 1999 and was the vice-chairman of the House Ethics Committee.[1]
