Text of measure
Language on the ballot:
| “ | Shall the allocated millage rate of 1.0 mill ($1.00 of taxable value) on all taxable property in Keene Township, Ionia County, reduced to .6986 mill ($.6986 per $1,000 of taxable value) by the required millage rollbacks, be increased in an amount not to exceed .3041 mill (.3041 per $1,000 of taxable value) to the origianl allocated millage rate to recover the millage reduction, for a period of five (5) years, 2013 to 2017 inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for general operating purposes and any other Township purposes authorized by law; and shall Keene Township levy such new additional millage for said purpose? The estimate of the revenue Keene Township will collect if the millage is approved and levied by the Township in the 2013 calendar year is approximately $17,000.[1][2] | ” |
