Two John Doe investigations, beginning in 2010 and ending in 2015, were launched by Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm (D) into the activities of staff and associates of Gov. Scott Walker (R).[3] Kittle wrote a series of articles on the investigations for Wisconsin Watchdog.[4] On October 28, 2013, Kittle wrote the first article in the series revealing the probe that targeted conservative organizations. This particular article featured an overview of the case, with comments from those involved.[5] Since publishing that first article, Kittle has written hundreds of articles covering both John Doe investigations.[6][7]
