Primary: He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 3, 2014.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 49.6 percent of the vote. He competed against Brett Loveless. [1][2] 

Education

Chacon received a B.A. in accountancy and B.B.A. in economics from New Mexico State University in 1992. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with his J.D. in 1996.[3]

Chacon is a sole practitioner of Chacon Law Firm.[3]
