  • Affordable Housing: Illinois families are being priced out of their communities. I'll fight to streamline approval processes, expand transit-oriented development, and fast-track affordable housing projects to address this crisis.
  • High-Quality Public Education: As a former teacher, I understand that teaching is a profession and should be treated as such. That means fighting for the resources teachers need to do their jobs and ensuring they have a safe, professional work environment.
  • Public Safety: Safe neighborhoods require investment in evidence-based solutions. I'll support community crime prevention, expand mental health and substance abuse treatment, and increase funding for gun enforcement.
I’ve spent my career working to make government more equitable, transparent, and accountable because I believe public service should actually serve the public. As a public school teacher, I saw firsthand how policy decisions made far from the classroom shape the lives of kids and families. As Senior Policy Advisor for Mayor Lori Lightfoot, I led efforts to expand housing, strengthen worker protections, and rewrite Chicago’s Welcoming City Ordinance to protect immigrant families.
