Mack Sermon
Mack Sermon (born November 23, 1965, in Idaho Falls, Idaho) is the Director of the Speech and Debate program at The College of Idaho. In early-2010, he announced that he announced his candidacy for the office of Idaho Secretary of State, challenging incumbent Republican Ben Ysursa who held the position since 2002.[1] He, however, lost in the general election on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010 after receiving only twenty-nine percent of the vote.

- Bachelor's degree, Boise State University (1993) in social science
Professional experience
After receiving his bachelor's degree, Sermon worked as an organizer for the National Family Farm Coalition and a software marketing executive before joining the faculty at the College of Idaho. He has coached the College of Idaho Speech and Debate team to ten Northwest Conference Championships and has produced nearly twenty National Champions.
