Names submitted the following statement to the Pierce County voters' guide:[1]

Education should be engaging and supported by caring individuals, who are mindful of every child’s best interest. I believe positive partnerships and strategic vision set the foundation for educational success. As a parent, volunteer and advocate, I have been active in the Puyallup community for 17 years. From the time my kids stepped into kindergarten I have built strong partnerships and relationships with teachers, district administration, parents, PTA and community. I was proud to Co-Chair the Citizens Committee, which helped pass the recent bond garnering new school construction, and adding 100 new classrooms. Student success today, is community success tomorrow; we must make decisions that are in the best interest for all students. Collaboration, partnerships and communication are essential. Puyallup schools will be tackling many complex issues in the coming years, including; advancing student technology, equality, overcrowding, new boundaries, and student safety. These decisions take research, objective analysis, and personal reflection on what serves students and our community best. As a school board member, I will fight for every student and value the abiding trust and stewardship this position entails. I would be honored, to be your voice on the Puyallup School Board, thank you for your consideration.[6]
