I am fifth generation Native Nevadan, born and raised in Las Vegas, and I’m running for Las Vegas Justice of the Peace because I want to continue to make Las Vegas the greatest city there is to live in.

I am a Chief Deputy District Attorney working at the Clark County District Attorney's Office on the Major Violators Unit (MVU). MVU is comprised of the homicide, gun, and gang team. I am part of a four-person team who prosecute violent gang members in the community. Prior to my time on the gang unit, I was assigned to two different general litigation teams handling hundreds of cases a month in both Justice Court and District Court. I have taken homicide, attempt murder, first degree kidnapping, robbery, sexual assault, domestic violence, burglary, and home invasion cases to jury trial. I have done over a hundred preliminary hearings and grand jury presentments, filed substantive pretrial motions, taught and trained members of law enforcement, and vertically prosecuted a wide-ranging amount of cases from initial appearance through appeals.

Before I promoted to being a deputy district attorney, I worked as a law clerk in the appellate division of the District Attorney’s office. I drafted and responded to Petitions for Writs of Habeas Corpus, assisted in post-conviction evidentiary hearings in the Eighth Judicial District Court, drafted appellate briefs, conducted legal research, handled District Court arraignments, and assisted and prepared Justice Court calendars.
  • As a public servant, I work for the people and that will be at the forefront of every decision I make.
  • Public safety is extremely important to me. For a community to thrive and be successful the citizens must be safe.
  • Transparency in the courtroom is essential. The judicial system needs to work on community accessibility as well as efficiency, especially in a court like Justice Court.
A judge's job is to follow the law enacted by the legislature and interpreted by the appellate courts. Personal feelings, opinions, and beliefs should have no bearing on rulings.
To apply the law to facts before the Court. A judge should always be fair, impartial, and respectful to everyone who appears before the Court.
My very first job was a lifeguard at the Desert Shores Lagoon. I worked there the summer I turned 16 and continued to work there through high school and during my summer breaks from college. Those summers working as a lifeguard were some of the best summers of my life. I made lifelong friendships with many of the other people that worked there.
I am running for this position because I love this community, and I want to continue to make Las Vegas the best city there is to live in.
