I am a family man, my family is the most important thing in my life and I take my responsibility as a husband and father very seriously. Hampton Roads is my home and I love my community! It saddens me to have seen, firsthand, the struggles of our declining middle-class family, and the many struggling families in this region. I can relate to their struggles. I have spent time homeless, I've been there. I can relate to living paycheck to paycheck, I've been there. As a teacher and a community developer in impoverished neighborhoods, I know the trials and tribulations of poverty and I am acutely sensitive to the issues and needs of our most affected citizens.

I spent my youth in the Tidewater area, where I played football for Hampton High (Go Crabbers!). My mother, uncles, and aunts also all attended Hampton High. We have a deep rooted history in the Hampton Roads area. I remember fondly working at my dad's shop "JMX" off of Roanoke, and where my grandma lived off of Hollywood Avenue. I have had the unfortunate experience of losing family due to gun violence and crime. I know the pain, firsthand, of the tragedies of "Pine Chapel and Bad News" survival.

All of my life experiences have shaped me into the man I am today. I am God fearing, compassionate, strong, and caring and I will bring all of my expertise to this endeavor. I will bring my commitment of service and forward thinking leadership to the Hampton Roads communities.
  • I will support and Defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic!
  • Our children and their parents must have choices in the education system and provided with the widest set of options available.
  • Physical and Mental Health programs designed to improve the quality of life for Women, Children, and our Veterans
2nd Amendment - I support the concept that the founding fathers, in their infinite wisdom, drafted the Constitution and the Bill of Rights with the foresight of government overreach. If we fail to protect, preserve, and defend this reverent document here in Virginia, where it all started, other states and state agencies will be emboldened to follow suit. The partisan perversion of these two documents must end here in Virginia!

Education Reform - For many years our education system has funneled our children into a system of liberal ideology and debt that is nearly impossible to overcome. Doing so, we have allowed our children to become debtor's slaves because the cost of an advanced education is too high! We pay for it in taxes, and then again in installments on the backs of our children. In the midst of this push to traditional colleges, we have lost sight of the economic value of skilled trades. Communities of the Tidewater area are filled with training and employment opportunities in these trades yet our high schools are not equipped to prepare them in these skills. I have a plan and support other ideas to improve school choice and technical training initiatives.

Veteran Physical and Mental Health - Our nation has been in a state of war for more than 20 years and the cost of war is more than fiscal. We must ensure that we have systems and policies in place to protect and provide for those that have protected us throughout these years of perpetual conflicts.
There are laws that address this. Politicians must remain relevant, in touch, and engaged in the affairs of their constituents. If they become complacent or reticent in their duties the election process is in place to facilitate their exits.
